Exploring expanding desire, aliveness & intimacy within modern monogamish relationships
A live online workshop with Relational Psychotherapist & Professional Matchmaker Sarah Louise Ryan for monogamish couples & singles wanting to know how to get more in the bedroom.
There is something deeply magnetic about feeling full joyful aliveness with the person you feel deeply connected to. The feeling of being desired, emotionally met, playfully drawn toward one another, and able to experience intimacy as something expansive, evolving, and deeply nourishing is often what gives relationships their sense of energy and vitality over time.
For many couples, the longing is not simply for “better sex,” but for a richer experience of connection - one that feels emotionally intimate, erotically alive, sensually connected, and spacious enough for curiosity, playfulness, and desire to continue unfolding within the relationship.
This workshop has been created for couples who want to deepen that experience together. Individuals are also welcome to attend to explore more about healthy intimate relating, inside and outside of the bedroom.
Whether you are in a monogamous relationship, exploring a more monogamish dynamic, or simply curious about how erotic connection can continue to evolve over time, this workshop offers a gentle, thoughtful and relational space to explore intimacy in a more conscious, expansive way. For some couples, questions around novelty, desire, attraction, and erotic energy can bring curiosity about opening the relationship. For others, the desire is not necessarily for different partners, but for a deeper sense of aliveness, eroticism, and connection within the relationship they already share.
Grounded in neuroscience, psychotherapy and relational education, Sarah will present this workshop bringing her 15 years of thoughtleadership in the dating and relationship space and wholeheartedly welcomes individuals and couples: Expanding The Erotic is designed to help couples explore the emotional, sensual, psychological, and energetic dimensions of intimacy through guided reflection, relational education, coaching, and private connection exercises.
The evening will begin with a guided 8-10-minute Erotic Meditation designed to help you slow down, reconnect with your senses, and arrive more fully in the presence of yourself and your partner. Grounding soothes the nervous system, brings your brain online for learning and connections you to your feeling body - shutting out the noise from the day.
From there, Sarah will move into an opening circle to set intentions for the experience and create a grounded, emotionally safe atmosphere for the evening ahead. There will be interactions in the chat for those who wish to be present in a different way. You can have your camera off or on - the degree to your visbility is to your discretion. You are welcome here in any case.
Throughout the workshop, Sarah will guide couples through a carefully curated blend of relational insight, conversation, reflection, and partner practices designed to deepen intimacy and expand awareness of the erotic relationship. Together, we will explore how emotional connection and erotic energy influence one another, alongside the role of sensuality, romance, body image, communication, variety, and curiosity in sustaining intimacy over time.
Couples will be invited to consider how they cultivate emotional safety whilst also making space for mystery, anticipation, desire, and playfulness within the relationship. The workshop will also support couples in creating a more conscious and shared vision for their erotic connection - one that feels authentic, connected, and alive for both people involved.
This is not a workshop about performance, pressure, or fixing what is “wrong.” It is an invitation to deepen connection, widen intimacy, and create more intentional space within your relationship for desire, tenderness, honesty, sensuality, and aliveness to flourish together.
There will be no group sharing required, and all partner exercises will remain completely private between you and your partner.
This experience is suitable for couples at any stage of their relationship who feel curious about deepening emotional and erotic intimacy and exploring what becomes possible when they intentionally turn toward one another with openness, presence, and desire.
